I collect quotations, either from honourable ppl in history of funny ones from friends, strangers or anyone who is within earshot. Facebook is pretty much a hobby now, innit?
MOVIES
I'm not a movie-watching person, as I rarely enjoy sitting in one spot staring at a screen for a prolonged time and tend to get fidgety. But movies I would certainly watch would be "The Dark Knight", "Sherlock Holmes" (2009), Avatar, Star Trek (franchise), Pirates Of The Caribbean (franchise) and any movie that Hans Zimmer did the soundtrack to. And sometimes Steve Jablonsky.
MUSIC
I'm into instumental moosix (misspelling intended), specifically movie themes. I follow Hans Zimmer somewhat closely, Steve Jablonsky, Harry Gregson-Williams , James Horner, with a few other names like James Newton Howard, Klaus Badelt and Jeff van Dyck. There are one-hit wonders for soundtracks that I enjoy, like Dario Marianello for "V For Vendetta", Bill Brown for "Command & Conquer Generals", Mark Mancina for "Bad Boys", Kenji Kawai for the Patlabor movies etc etc.
I enjoy Enya, Te Vaka, some tracks from the late 80s & 90s...even have one or few from the 50s & 60s that I enjoy. I have a wide spectrum of tracks I like from classical to hard-out rock. Ppl find it weird that I can easiy transition from Bedrich Smetana to Marilyn Manson.
FAVOURITE TV THEME: "Danny Lux - Boston Legal"
FAVOURITE MOVIE TRACK: "Transformers (2007) - Steve Jablonsky - Autobots"
FAVOURITE ALL-TIME TRACK: "Lee Perry & Quindon Tarver - Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)"
BOOKS
I don't read books, unless I have to. I have a short attention span when it comes to reading. Although in saying that, if I were to read an essay from an email, I'd have to print it out as I can't stare at a screen, reading, for long.
Quirky/strange behaviour; immature (but not dangerous) sense of humour (including self-deprecating); friendly banter
TURN OFF'S
Bad grammatical syntax - I'm very forgiving if English isn't one's primary language, but if one is raised in an environment where English is the primary language, be prepared to be, at the very least, corrected. People talking with food in their mouths, or chewing with their mouths open.
ABOUT ME
I am lazy so I'll just copy my Bebo/Facebook profile info:
Humour.
I'm the sort of person who tries to keep a smile on his face and bring a smile to others. Very strange yet interesting/unique personality that hopefully sets me out from other people. Always something funny to say or have in store for someone who deserves a funny line or two used ON them, not with them.
Powerfully sarcastic.
Sometimes takes things literally and can be pedantic on details. Generally tolerable of "unique individuals" but has learned to be bold and be straight up if extremely annoyed. Unleashes wrath of sarcastic fury on those who deserve it.
Deafening silence.
Am the sort of person who listens more than speaks, sometimes because I have nothing good to say but mostly because I find most stories fascinating to listen to. I also enjoy silence.
Grammar & Spelling Peacekeeper.
I am somewhat relaxed on the internet about grammar syntax & spelling etc etc, but in a professional environment, I tend to silently rage. I am not afraid of correcting one's improper syntax and am not offended when someone catches me out.
Panoramic.
Sometimes tries to have broad perspective, mostly fails to do so. Am a nice guy to start off with but can easily prey on those who make themselves easy to mock. Have been labelled "a--hole".
Hey wonderful to have you back, the radio is up and running and djs should be around here today or tonight. So all is great. Feel free to wander around the site, knock on a few doors, rattle a few cages and maybe wake up some new buddies!
